Starting Scar's Circle of Life Quest

The search for the Old Bones becomes available once you reach Friendship Level 7 with Scar and begin The Circle of Life quest. Mother Gothel directs you toward the subterranean passageways hidden within the Sunlit Plateau. Collecting these ancient remains is necessary to forge a powerful tool upgrade that breaks large obstacles.

Navigating to the Old Bones Location

To find the item, enter the Vitalys Mines and immediately take the left pathway from the entrance. Follow this main corridor until you see an opening on your right, then make a sharp left turn right after. At the end of this short passage, you will see the Old Bones sparkling brightly on the cavern floor.

Crafting the Roaring Shovel Head

After picking up the bones, you must gather ten Purified Night Shards by combining Night Shards and Dream Shards at a crafting station. Returning to Scar allows you to place the bones into the Volcanic Geyser inside his cave to create special Ashes. Planting and watering these Ashes yields the Flower of Bones, which completes the required crafting materials.
